December 6 2022 - Portage la Prairie MB

The first period would see Ryland Moore and Ludovic Perreault score for the Bruins while Mathias Sibilleau and Troy Northrup replied for Central Plains.

The Bruins would outscore Central Plains in the second period to take a 4 to 3 lead after 40 minutes.  Triton Joudrey and Nolan Harding would score the Wild goals and Troy Northrup would score his second of the game for the Capitals.

The Bruins would get a third period goal from Mason Chubey to make the final score Bruins Brown 5 Central Plains 3.

Coaching Opportunities

The Hockey Winnipeg AAA/AA Council is accepting coaching applications for the 2024-2025 season.  The positions are for "AAA" teams in the U15 and U17 Prep and U18 Provincial leagues as well as the "AA" U13, U15 and U18 leagues.  As well as being part of an outstanding hockey program, all of our AAA and AA coaches receive a generous Year End Honorarium, a semi-annual Travel Allowance, a AAA/AA Team Wear Allowance and full reimbursement of fees for required Coaching Qualification Courses and Seminars taken while coaching in the AAA/AA programs.

Deadline for applications is April 23 2024.  

Please note the following Coaching Requirements:

AAA Requirements
U15 League

  •  Head Coach requires High Performance 1 and Checking 1
  • Assistant Coaches require Development 1


U18/U17 League

  • Head Coach requires High Performance 1
  • Assistant Coaches require Development 1


Note: Provide names of your Staff - Assistant Coaches, Team Manager and Trainer (If you have one)

 

AA Requirements
U13 League

  • Head Coach requires Coach 2  - Coach Level and Checking 1
  • Assistant Coaches require Coach 2 - Coach Level


U15 League

  • Head Coaches requires Coach 2 - Coach Level and Checking 1
  • Assistant Coaches require Coach 2 - Coach Level


U18 League

  • Head Coach requires Coach 2 - Coach Level
  • Assistant Coaches require Coach 2 - Couch Level

Brandon 6 Eastman 3 - Brandon wins series 4 games to 0

March 12 2024 - Landmark 2024

The first period would see each team score twice with Hudson Champagne and Reid Nicol scoring for Brandon and Ethan Brown and William Picklyk responded for Eastman.

The second period would see Brandon take a 5 to 2 lead on goals from Hunter Ethelston, Owen Stanley and Reid Nicol (2nd of the game.

Kevin Knee would extend the Brandon lead to 4 when he opened the third period scoring.  Deegan would score the last goal of the game to get Eastman to within 3 however, that would be as close as they would get.

With the win Brandon sweeps the best of seven championship final 4 games to 0.
