The undefeated Warriors look to continue their dominance against the hawks but run in to some trouble.

With the first few weeks of the season already gone both the Hawks and Warriors have already seen each other on the ice before and both teams were ready to battle right off the bat.  Both teams were buzzing with the Hawks having the edge early on.  Hawks captain Andrew Hladun put one past the Warriors net minder at the midway point of the period, opening up the scoring for the game.  The Hawks continued to dictate the pace of the game and kept the Warriors on their heels.  Still pushing the Hawks get rewarded again for their work.  This time Dawson Zeller is able to find the twine with five minutes left in the opening frame.  Both teams kept up the intensity for the remainder of the period and it ended with the Hawks up by a score of 2-0.

The second period started with both teams maintaining the intensity from the first period, however this lead to each team being penalized several times.  Both teams had their share of chances to score but neither team was able to capitalize on their power plays.  The period ended the same way it started with the Hawks leading 2-0.

Reading the writing on the wall, the Warriors’ undefeated record was on the line and they had to come up with a solution.  Their biggest problem was trying to find a solution for the Hawks goaltender Evan Banera who had been a brick wall all night.  Fresh into the third period the Hawks strike again, extending their lead thanks to a Colson Smith goal.  The Warriors were now with their back against the ropes, a position they are not very familiar with.  With a burst of energy and resilience the Warriors are able to claw back scoring a goal of their own.  The work of Ethan Alsip gave the Warriors some life near the half-way point of the third.  This surge of Warriors energy was brought to a halt with the Hawks striking again.  With his second goal of the game Dawson Zeller was able to seal the deal for the Hawks and punch their ticket to another regular season win.  With a 4-1 Hawks win, the Warriors suffered their first loss of the season.
