Wild Red gets back in the win column

The Wild would get first period goals from Noah Alexander and Liam Green to take a 2 to 1 lead into the second period.  Jaxon Dean replied for the Bruins.

Noah Alexander scored his second goal of the game to extend the Wild lead to 3 to 1 after 40 minutes of play.

Antonio Correia would get the Bruins to within 1 when he scored in the third.  However that would be as close as they would get giving the Wild the 3 to 2 win.

Eastman 4 Southwest 3

January 28 2024 - Landmark MB

Ehtan Brown would score the loan goal of the first period to give Eastman a 1 to 0 lead after on period of play.

William Picklyk would open the second period scoring to increase the Eastman lead to 2 to 0.  Eric Berger would get Southwest on the board when he scored on the powerplay cutting Eastman's lead to 2 to 1 heading into the third period.

Gage Balciunas would open the third period scoring to tie the game at 2.  Eric Berger would follow with his second of the game to give Southwest their first lead of the game at 3 to 2.  

Zac Warren would tie the game at 3 and with just 1 second left on the clock William Picklyk scored his second of the game to secure Eastman's 4 to 3 victory.


Thrashers Blue win gives them 3 point lead over Interlake

January 28 2024 - Winnipeg MB

Sam Lazaruk would open the first period scoring to give the Thrashers and early 1 to 0 lead.  Southwest's Dayson Martin would score to tie the game at 1 and Noah Smigelsky would give them a 2 to 1 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Dixon Hartwich, of the Thrashers, would score twice in the second period to erase Parklands 1 goal lead and send them to into the third period with a 3 to 2 lead.

Fynn Huberdeau would score 56 seconds into the third period to tie the game at 3.  Sophie Woznesensky would reply for the Thrashers to give them back the one goal lead at 4 to 3.  Once more Southwest would tie the game when Dayson Martin found the back of the net for his second of the game.  However the tie would not last very long as Joshua Labrosse would score the game winner 1 minute 41 seconds later.

With no further scoring the Thrashers come away with the 5 to 4 victory.

Wild Green hand Brandon their second loss of the season

Theran Turner would open the first period scoring to give Brandon a 1 to 0 lead.  With under 2 minutes left in the period Attucus Cruz would score to tie the game at 1 after 20 minutes of play.

The second period would mirror the first with Brandon's Hunter Ethelston opening the scoring to give Brandon back the lead at 2 to 1.  Dylan Prettie would get the Wild even and send the teams into the third tied at 2.

Elliott Ortlieb would score a third period powerplay goal to give the Wild their first lead of the game at 3 to 2.  Chase Kettles would make the lead stand up stopping all third period shots he faced.

The win ended Brandon's 15 game win streak which dated back to November 2023.

Tyler Thouas scores in OT to secure the W for Central Plains

Central Plains 4 Interlake 3 - OT

January 27 2024 - Portage La Prairie MB

The first period would see Interlake outscore Central Plains by a score of 2 to 1.  Easton Stasiuk and Damon Marquart found the back of the net for Interlake while Tyler Thouas replied for Central Plains.

Central Plains got a second period goal from Tryp Klassen to tie the score at 2 after 40 minutes of play.

The third period would see Ashton Baldwin give Interlake a 3 to 2 lead however Cashton Barron would reply for Central Plains to send the teams into overtime tied at 3.

The OT winner was scored by Tyler Thouas for his second of the game to game.
