Eastman Captures U15 B Side Championship

Eastman 4 Pembina Valley 1

March 23 2023 - Niverville MB

Tegan Fehr would start the scoring on a first period powerplay to give Pembina Valley a 1 to 0 lead.  Eastman's Asher Gingras would also score on the powerplay to tie the game at one after 20 minutes.

The second period would see Eastman get goals from Miguel Van Den Driessche to take a 3 to 1 lead into the third period.

William Picklyk would extend the Eastman lead to 4 to 1 when he scored the loan goal of the third period.

With the game 5 victory  Eastman claims the U15-B Side Championship.

Wild Red force game 7 with OT victory

Wild Red 3 Brandon 2 - OT

March 21 2023 - Winnipeg MB

Each team would score in the first period with Cole Dupuis scoring for Brandon and Will Van Norman replying for the Wild.

After a scoreless second period the Wild would get their first lead of the game when Carter Kingerski scored 56 seconds into the period.  Brandon would get even on Cole Dupuis second goal of the game.  With no further scoring in the period the teams would head into overtime for the 4th time in the series.

Overtime would see Wyatt Dyck score to give the Wild the victory and send them to game seven.

Brandon wins Provincial Final with game 7 shutout

March 23 2023 - Brandon MB

After two scoreless periods Brandon would get on the board on a goal by Nolan Saunderson to take a 1 to 0 lead.  Cole Dupuis would score the next 2 goals to extend the lead to 3 to 0.  Ethan Stanley would end the scoring finding the back of the net with 50 second left in the game to make the final Brandon 4 Wild Red 0.

Urijah Moosetail stopped all 29 shots he faced for his 3 playoff shutout.

With the win Brandon claims the 2022-23 AAA U15 Provincial Finals 4 game to 3 over the Wild Red.

Grayson Slaney scores twice as Eastman forces game 5

Casey Magarrell would open the first period scoring to give Pembina Valley a 1 to 0 lead. Eastman's Lucas Laramee would score to tie the game at 1 heading into the second period.

Kylan Olson would give Eastman their first lead of the game when he scored a last minute goal allowing them to take a 2 to 1 lead into the 3rd.

Grayson Slaney would score twice in the third period to make the final Eastman 4 Pembina Valley 1.

With the victory Eastman ties the series at 3 and forces a winner take all game 5. 

 

U17 Bruins take home 2022-2023 League Championship

The U17 Bruins sweep the Wheat Kings to take home gold and win back-to-back championships

On March 18th the U17 Bruins won the championship series against the Brandon Wheat Kings to take home their second provincial title in as many years. This back-to-back championship culminated in an 8-0 win out in Brandon at J & G homes arena to sweep the championship series 4-0.

 

Thank you to all of the players, coaches, officials, parents, and others involved with the game for making this season a success. We look forward to seeing everyone back around the rink for the 2023-2024 season!
