B-Side Finals Game 2 Postponed

Due to weather conditions tonight's game between Pembina Valley and Eastman has been postponed and rescheduled to March 18 2023 7:15pm in Landmark.

Brandon evens best of 7 at 2 games each

Brandon 3 Wild Red 1

March 16 2023 - Winnipeg MB

Carter Kingerski scored the lone goal of the first period to give the Wild Red a 1 to 0 lead after 20 minutes.

Cole Lobreau would score twice in the second period to give Brandon a 2 to 1 lead after 2 periods.

Jonah Lemoine would extend Brandon's lead to 3 to 1 in third period. 

With no further scoring in the game Brandon wins the game 3 to 1 to tie the best of 7 series at 2 games each.

Pembina Valley opens finals with game 1 victory

Pembina Valley 6 - Eastman 3

March 15 2023 - Landmark MB

The first period would see Eastman's Grayson Slaney open to give them a 1 to 0 lead.  Corby Stemkowski and Tegan Fehr would respond for Pembina Valley to give them a 2 to 1 lead after 20 minutes.

Pembina Valley would get second period goals from Cohen Lewko, Nathan Froebe and Ragnar Gillis to increase their lead to 5 to 2 after 2 period.  Noah Stott replied for Eastman.

Graeme Pickering would score a third period powerplay goal to get Eastman to with 2 goals however that would be as close as they would get.  Tegan Fehr would seal the game with his second of the night into an empty net.

With the win Pembina Valley takes a 1 to 0 series lead.

Cole Dupuis OT winner gives Brandon the victory

Brandon 4 - Wild Red 3 - OT

March 14 2023 - Winnipeg MB

The first period would see the Wild take a 2 to 0 lead on goal from Cody Farrell and Hudson Kowalchuk.  Cole Dupuis would Brandon on the board and they went into the second period trailing by a goal.

Cole Dupuis would score his second goal of the game, in the second period to send the teams into the third tied at 2.

Johan Lemoine would give Brandon their first lead of the game when he scored 52 seconds into the third.  Wyatt Dyck would score the equalizer and the teams were headed to overtime tied at 3.

Cole Dupuis would complete his hattrick with the overtime winner to give Brandon the 4 to 3 victory.

Despite the win Brandon still trails the best of seven series 2 games to 1.

Wild Red 4 Brandon 3 - OT

March 11 2023 - Brandon MB

Hudson Kowalchuk would open the first period scoring to give the Wild a 1 to 0 lead. Brandon's Cole Dupuis would tie the game with just under 2 minutes left in the period however Carter Kingerski would score with 11 second left and send the Wild to second period leading 2 to 1.

With time winding down in the second period Jaxson Brick scored for Brandon to tie the score at 2 heading into the third.

Kingerski would score his second of the game to give the Wild a 3 to 2 lead however it was short lived as just over a minute later Cole Dupuis (2nd of the game) would tie the score at 3.  With no further scoring the teams were headed to overtime.

Overtime would see Carter Kingerski complete his hattrick to give the Wild a 4 to 3 victory and a 2 games to 0 series lead.
