Pembina Valley shuts out Interlake for 6th victory of the year

Pembina Valley would get first period goals from Nathan Froebe and Parker Henderson to take a 2 to 0 lead after 20 minutes.

The Pembina Valley lead would increase to 6 to 0 with Cole Secord scoring twice and 1 each from Cohen Lewko and Casey Magarell .

Both teams were held of the scoreboard in the third to make the final Pembina Valley 6 Interlake 0.  Karsen Dyck turned aside all 26 shots to record his first shutout of the year.

Five goal first period sets up Bruins Gold for victory

Interlake would jump out to a 1 to 0 lead on a goal by Tallon Sutherland.  The Bruins would draw even when Jaxon Green scored and take the lead on a goal by Damian Dnes. The Bruins would extend their lead to 5 to 1 on goals from Alex Rakowski, Johnathan Blais, and Ben Dnes.

As in the first period Interlake would open the scoring when Brody Slatcher put on past Noah Cesmystruk.  After the Interlake goal the Bruins Jaxon Green and Jonathan Blais would score their second of the game followed by Christopher Astorino to extend the lead to 8 to 2 heading into the third period.

The third period would start the same way as the first 2 as Jacob Keck would score for Interlake to make the score 8 to 3.  Ben Dnes would score on the powerplay, for his second of the game to make the final Bruins Gold 9 Interlake 3.

Winnipeg AAA has canceled the following games:

November 8 2022 - 6:35 PM IP Subway - Bruins Gold vs Wild Red

November 9 2022 - 6:15 PM Notre Dame - Central Plains vs Bruins Black

November 9 2022 - 6:40 PM IP-Subway - U17 Bruins vs Wild

After a scoreless first period the Wild would open up a 2 to 0 lead on powerplay goals from Julian Fedora and Rowan Street.  The Bruins would tie the game on two powerplay goals of their own from Antonio Correia and James Nicholls.  Drayden Uhrina would give the Bruins their first lead and James Nicholls would score his second of the period to make the score Bruins 4 Wild 2 heading into the third.

Efrem Wolitski would extend the Bruins lead to 3 goals when he opened the scoring in the third. Julian Fedora would score his second of the game to get the Wild to within 2 and Fenton Mann would cut it to 1 with 19 second left.  As the Wild pressed for the equalizer Antonio Correia would score into the empty net to secure the victory.

Southwest 6 Wild Red 5 - OT

November 6 2022 - Winnipeg MB

Southwest would jump out to a 2 goal lead on goals from Eric Berger and Gavin Wickham.  The Wild would cut the lead to 1 on a goal by Carter Kingerski. Shane Elder would restore the 2 goal lead scoring a powerplay goal.  Southwest would take the 3 to 1 lead into the second.

Jack Swaenepoel would extend Southwest's lead the lead to 4 to 1 scoring in the first minute of the second.  The Wild would get goals from Dylan Prettie and Wyatt Dyck would cut the lead to 1 heading into the third period.

Noah Alexander would draw the Wild even when he opened the scoring in the third. Shane Elder would restore the Southwest lead scoring his se3cond of the game.  As the period was drawing to a close Declan Siwicki found the back of the net to tie the game at 5 and send it to overtime.

Overtime would see Shane Elder score his third goal of the game  and give Southwest the 6 to 5 victory.
