Shane Elder scores in OT to give Southwest victory over Wild Red

Southwest 6 Wild Red 5 - OT

November 6 2022 - Winnipeg MB

Southwest would jump out to a 2 goal lead on goals from Eric Berger and Gavin Wickham.  The Wild would cut the lead to 1 on a goal by Carter Kingerski. Shane Elder would restore the 2 goal lead scoring a powerplay goal.  Southwest would take the 3 to 1 lead into the second.

Jack Swaenepoel would extend Southwest's lead the lead to 4 to 1 scoring in the first minute of the second.  The Wild would get goals from Dylan Prettie and Wyatt Dyck would cut the lead to 1 heading into the third period.

Noah Alexander would draw the Wild even when he opened the scoring in the third. Shane Elder would restore the Southwest lead scoring his se3cond of the game.  As the period was drawing to a close Declan Siwicki found the back of the net to tie the game at 5 and send it to overtime.

Overtime would see Shane Elder score his third goal of the game  and give Southwest the 6 to 5 victory.

Winnipeg AAA Game Cancelation

Winnipeg AAA has canceled the following game:

Sunday November 6 2022 - IP - Flynn Arena at 6:00pm - Wild Gold vs Pembina Valley

Thrashers White 6 Bruins Brown 5 OT

November 5 2022 - Winnipeg MB

The Bruins got on the board when Alexandre Andre scored the first goal of the period.  The Thrashers responded with Koltyn Beattle, Zennon Cherneki, and Lucas Thomas scoring in a 53 second span and Tyler Cordoviz adding another a few minutes later to take a 4 to 1 lead.  Triton Joudrey would get one back and the period ended with the Trashers holding a 4 to 2 lead.

Aleandre Andre would score his second and third of the game to pull the Bruins to even heading into the third period.

Ludovic Perreault would give the Bruins their first lead since the opening goal scoring first in third.  Just over a minute later Lucas Thomas scored his second of the game to tie the score at 5.  With no further scoring the teams headed into OT.

The Thrashers Prabh Bhathal would score a shorthanded goal to give his time a hard fought 6 to 5 victory.

 

Cole Lelond stands tall to earn shutout

Yellowhead 4 Eastman 0

November 4 2022 - Landmark MB

Myles Beatty and Kaden Allan scored first period goals to give Yellowhead a 2 to 0 lead after the first period.

Despite taking 8 minutes in penalties and being outshot 22 - 12 Yellowhead increased their lead to 3 - 0 after two periods when Ian Foster scored the only goal of the period.

Yellowhead's Ethan Bray would score the only goal of the third period to make the final Yellowhead 4 Eastman 0.

Cole Lelond turned aside all 44 shots he faced to record his first shutout of the season.
