U17 Wild vs Selects Game 4, March 10th
It was a night where the offences were booming. 16 goals were scored during this contest between the Wild and the Selects. The Wild head into this game looking to close out the series and screw their spot in the finals, while the Selects are against the ropes. The Wild were able to hold control for the entire duration of the game, but there was never a point where you could count the Selects out. Being down 8-4 at one point, the Selects were able to push for a comeback and bring the game to an 8-7 score. Though the Selects fell just short of keeping their season alive as they conceded an empty net goal, putting the Wild up 9-7. The Wild would win the game and the series. The Selects season comes to a close while the Wild season continues in the next and final round of the playoffs.

U15 Bruins Gold vs Selects Game 4, March 11th
The Bruins Gold goalie, Justin Perreault led the Bruins Gold with a 51 save performance in the teams 6-5 victory over the Eastman Selects. Facing elimination once again the Bruins Gold have their back to the wall. The game was a back and forth contest. The Selects look to close out the series, while the Bruins Gold look to stay alive. After a hard fought battle the game would come down to the last minute. The Bruins Gold were up by 1 and the Selects needed to tie it up to push the game into overtime. With a pulled goalie and a hard fought effort, the Selects made their attempt to tie the game. They fall short of their game tying goal and the game goes to the Bruins Gold and it sends the series
to a game 5.

Game Summaries

U17 Brandon Wheat Kings vs Winnipeg Wild Game 2
The Wild host the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings in this Saturday afternoon bout. The Wild were
victorious in their last outing against the Wheat Kings so Brandon had a chip on their shoulder coming
into this game. The Wheat Kings came out firing on all cylinders scoring 3 goals before the Wild were
even able to muster 1. The Wild gave a VALIANT effort but the Wheat Kings were able to stay one
step ahead and hand the Wild a 5-3 loss. Wild fans described the game as frustrating. But for the
Wheat Kings, it was anything but. With a terrific performance from their tendy, Kieran Madill, and from
the team as whole, the Wheat Kings can keep their chins high.

U17 Winnipeg Thrashers vs Interlake Lightning Game 2
The Interlake Lightning face off against the Winnipeg Thrashers. The entire 60 minutes of this game
was like watching Ali and Frazier. Two teams with nothing on their mind but victory, the game
remained scoreless after 2 periods. Just back and forth action up and down the ice, both Jonathon
Enns-Demchuck, and Dylan LeClair putting on a master class between the pipes. 40 minutes of
TENSION and DRAMA would all come down to the final period. After some back and forth goals, the
game would sit at 2 all. Within the last 3 minutes, the lightning were able to bury a crucial power play
goal, leaving all the pressure on the Thrashers. The Thrashers just came short as they ended up
losing the game to a score of 3-2 in a dramatic final minute.

U15 Winnipeg Bruins Gold vs Parkland Rangers Game 5
The stage is set for an epic conclusion to this series. The Bruins Gold and The Rangers come head to
head one last time to decide who goes home early. The Rangers open up the scoring and take an
early 1-0 lead. This deficit didn't discourage the Bruins as the rest of this game was in their control.
The Bruins were able to out pace, out shoot, and out body the Rangers. Even though the Rangers
were looking the end of their season in the face, they wouldn’t go out without a fight. Their goalie was
pulled with 4:30 left in the game to spark a comeback from the team. Their efforts fell short and the
Bruins Gold were able to hold strong and secure the series win. The Parkland Rangers season comes
to a close. On the way off the ice, they gave a salute to their fans and hoisted their sticks in the air. At
the same time the Bruins left the ice to cheers from their own fans and look ahead to what’s next for

U15 Winnipeg Thrashers White vs Southwest Cougars
You could feel the playoff intensity throughout the arena. Both teams are ready to put it all on the ice.
The Thrashers come out the gate buzzing, opening up the scoring with a beautiful top corner goal.
Quite the moral booster, the goal just fueled the rest of the team even further. The Trashers were able
to bring it to the Cougars by scoring another 4 goals, bringing the total up to 5. As the game neared its
close, The cougars were able to score 2 goals and bring the game to a 5-2 score. Emotions ran high
and the cougars tried to even the difference but their attempt was unsuccessful. As the clock was
running out, tempers were fragile and a lot of pushing and shoving ensued in front of the Thrashers
net. The clock hit 00:00 and the Trashers were able to leave the ice taking the game with them, while
the Cougars left frustrated and disappointed.

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022
Bruins Gold vs Rangers Game 3

In a night where the offences were BOOMING, a total of 11 goals were scored in game 3 between the Winnipeg Bruins Gold and the Parkland Rangers. Both teams came out with high energy for whoever won this game would take a 2-1 lead in the series.

After some HUGE stops by Justin Perreault and the front end scoring 4 unanswered goals, things were looking good for the Bruins after the 1st period.

But the Rangers wouldn't go out without a fight. In the 2nd period, the Rangers were able to make this a game once again and at the 2nd intermission, the game sat at a 5-4 score for the Bruins.

The game neared its conclusion, tensions were high. Bruins were up 6-5 with a minute left. The Rangers made the call to pull the goalie for an extra man in hopes of scoring one more goal to push the game into OVERTIME. Their efforts fell short as the Bruins took the game 6-5, and now have a 2-1 lead on the series.
