Six goal second period allows Eastman to pull away for the victory

Eastmans Owen Martin scored 4 goals while  Remy Hlady and Nathan Forster added a pair each to lead Eastman to a 10 to 6 victory over the Thrashers Gold.

Rounding out the scoring for Eastman were Cameron Sylvester and Hayden Kochen.

Scoring for the Thrashers were Maddox Malmquist who scored a pair while Drake Vermeulen, Sage Dela Cruz, Jayce Anderson and Griffin Rarog each scored once.

Asher Gingras scores 4 in Eastman game 3 victory

Eastman 6 Bruins Gold 2 - Eastman leads series 2 to 1

The First period would see Eastman outscore the Bruins 3 to 2 to take a one goal lead into the second period.  Asher Gingras scored 2 times and Seth Hooper added a single for Eastman while Aidan Sitarz and Crew Schimnowski replied for the Bruins.

Asher Gingras would extend the Eastman lead to 4 to 2, after 2 periods, when he completed the hattrick.

Eastman would close out the game with goals from Jimmy Wilcox and Asher Gingras (4th of the game) to make the final 6 to 2 for Eastman.

With the win Eastman leads the best of five 2 games to 1.

Special teams lead Pembina Valley to Victory

Pembina Valley 2 Wild Red 1 - Pembina Valley leads 1-0

The Wild would grab a 1 to 0 lead after 20 minutes of play on a goal by Noah Alexander.

After a scoreless second period Pembina Valley would get powerplay goals from Cole Secord and Tyson Pethybridge to take a 2 to 1 lead.  Carson O'Connor would make the lead hold up stopping all 11 shots he faced in the period to preserve the 2 to 1 victory and give Pembina Valley a 1 to 0 series lead.

Reid Nicol's OT winner give Brandon a 2 to 1 series lead

Brandon 1 Bruins Black 0 - OT - Brandon leads series 2 to 1.

The first three periods belonged to the Bruins Sawyer Henkelman and Brandons Urijah Mossetail as they stopped all shots they faced to send the game into overtime.

The Bruins would get their chance in overtime with a powerplay opportunity however they were un able to score.  Thirty-two seconds after the penalty kill Reid Nicol would end the game and give Brandon a 2 to 1 series lead.

 

Eastman 5 Bruins Gold 3 - Series tied 1 - 1

February 26 2024 - Winnipeg MB

Eastman would get first period goals from Seth Hooper and Niko Lemoine to take a 2 to 0 lead into the second period.

Eastman would extend their lead to 4 to 1 after 40 minutes of play on goals from Asher Gingras and Crosby Mateychuk.  Joel Vermette scored the loan goal for the Bruins.

The Bruins would pull within a goal when Aidan Sitarz and Tyden Lafournaise scored however that would be as close as they would get.  Seth Hooper put the game out of reach when he scored his second of the game to make the final Eastman 5 Bruins Gold 3.
